All About The Whiskey Affair
Let’s embrace the world of whiskey together!
The Whiskey Affair was born out of the idea that whiskey is a vast subject matter that needs to be enjoyed, relished and discovered – whilst having fun!
Our criteria for the learning process was to educate ourselves whilst in beautiful surroundings; listening to music that we love and in the company of all our friends (some of whom may not be as excited about whiskey as we are to start with).
These are the core ingredients of what we are basing our events on and we’d love you to come on our journey with us.
As we are a new company your feedback is imperative, and we are hoping to shape the future of our love affair with whiskey with you in mind.
How do we work?
Our events work in a similar manner to beer festivals. We have a cashless bar which operates on tokens, which will be purchasable throughout the evening at the venue. Purchase as many tokens as you like and simply have them stamped when you are keen to select your drams. Some of the drinks may be rarer and cost more than one token but will be clearly marked when you are at the bar.
If there is a bottle that takes your fancy then why not take it home with you? Whole bottles of all the varieties will be available to purchase on the night.
If you are not sure that whisky is your drink – but your friends are coming to the night, don’t worry! We have a cocktail bar just for you where you can immerse yourself into the world-subtly, and dip your toe in bit by bit.
Every festival will be different- but guest speakers/tasting sessions and music are a feature of the world that we are creating so check each event listing to see who will be there!

The Lounge Bar
The staff at The Lounge Bar in Alton are the main purveyors of whiskey and this idea we have had. A music venue in Hampshire catering for all genres of music, this is where we all met and started working together.
The Cocktail Bar
Sam ‘Samuel Benson’ Sidgwick has been working in the cocktail industry for over a decade and, in that time, has won numerous cocktail competitions including the London Naked Old Fashioned Competition by Famous Grouse. Aswell as bartending, he’s been lucky enough to combine this with his other two passions; online viagra europe travel and film making and founded the drinks industry-based film company, ABV Media. This has lead him to release ‘9Tragos’ – the award-winning documentary on South American drinking culture. We are lucky enough to have Samuel with us on our Whiskey journey and enjoy his menu of Whiskey-based cocktails, exclusive to the Whiskey Affair.

Shine London
Shine London presents new, premium Moonshine from South Carolina’s first legal distillery

Shine London distributes the drink for trade, retails it, and can also fuel your event, be it corporate, weddings or festivals we got it covered with our mobile bar.
The Photography
Hana Laurie provides our photobooth and is our resident photographer. She works as a freelance wedding and event photographer and brings an enormous talent along with a friendly human interaction and a professionalism that we can’t fault.
The Display Stands
Our displays were integral to the design and look of the festivals and so we were delighted when we teamed up with GrannyTooth woodwork. Everything you see at the events was hand-made to our specification and exceeded our expectations. If you would like to make your own commission, do have a look at their work.
